Take to the Field.
Find out why field education is the
signature pedagogy of social work
The signature pedagogy of a profession is the method it uses to socialize students to its knowledge, values, and skills. Field educators are constantly striving to improve the way in which the academic and practice components of social work education are combined in the field. To do so effectively we need to be in constant review of our field education curriculum by examining both its process and content. The strategies we utilize to do so will dramatically impact how effective we are in teaching students to be excellent social workers.
